The Council on Foreign Relations power elites still rule the White House
By Bliss W. Tew (11/03/05)
On May 23rd, 2000, during his election campaign, George W. Bush gave a press conference in Washington, D.C. He was there to give voters an idea of his expected foreign policy should he be elected to office of the President.
Candidate George W. Bush was accompanied at that time by an entourage of advisors whose faces were well known already to the American public. Included in this group of elite advisors was Condoleezza Rice, Brent Scowcroft (former National Security Advisor to President George H. W. Bush and the sole Mormon of the group), Donald Rumsfeld, Colin Powell, Henry Kissinger, George Shultz. All of these Bush advisors at that time were members of the New York City-based organization, the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR).
In the July 17, 2000 issue of The New American magazine, Dr. Steve Bonta wrote an article titled "The Power Elite & George W." in which he stated, "George W. Bush is following in the footsteps of his father on the road to the White House, and like the elder Bush, is proving himself to be every inch the Establishment’s man." Dr. Bonta pointed out that "[T]his establishment [the CFR] has worked for decades to submerge the United States in a one-world government ruled by {you guessed it!) The elite."
In an article in the December 23, 1999 issue of The New York Times a list of 10 members of Candidate Bush’s foreign policy brain trust was published. In addition to Condoleezza Rice and George Shultz, the list included: Richard Armitage, Robert Blackwill, Richard Cheney, Stephen Hadley, Richard Perle, Paul Wolfowitz, Dov Zakheim, and Robert Zoellick.
Dr. Bonta, in his July 2000 New American article pointed out that the Times had portrayed the team of 10 foreign policy experts as "conservative" and "hawkish," "thereby casting Governor Bush as a hard-line conservative on foreign policy in contrast to President Cliont and his liberal-left foreign policy team. But the Times failed to point out that nine of the ten Bush advisors it cite are CFR members (the lone exception being Armitage), and that internationalist-minded CFR members have shaped U.S. foreign policy for decades, regardless of whether the president in power happened to be a Republican or a Democrat. Bush’s own connections with this same Insider-Establishment club means that it would not be realistic to hope for a radical change in policy under a Bush administration."
Just how correct Dr. Steve Bonta and The New American magazine were in this assessment has been demonstrated in the first five years of the George W. Bush administration time and again. George W. Bush, like his father and Bill Clinton, spoke out as a firm supporter of trade measures like NAFTA and GATT during his run for office. "Bush," observed The Nation in May 1999, "has been a relentless supporter of NAFTA. Even as the needle-trade industry all but disappeared in Texas, with a final wave of Levis plant closings in January and February... the governor had neither a program nor a world of consolation for displaced workers. ‘NAFTA is good for Texas and good for Mexico,’ Bush said in his January [Texas] State of the State speech."
Since taking office, President George W. Bush has been relentless in his pursuit of additional entangling, multinational, western-hemispheric trade agreements patterned after the NAFTA and European Union style agreements. Continuing in the footsteps of his predeccessors, Presidents George H. W. Bush and Bill Clinton, both by the way members of the CFR, he has not only supported NAFTA and the World Trade Organization, but the younger Bush has continued apace on his efforts to convince Congress, the leaders of other nations in this hemisphere, and the American people that we should agree to the Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) and to the Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA) agreement. (See www.stoptheftaa.org for greater insight into these agreements).
Is President Bush the "Conservative" juxtaposed against Clinton’s liberalism that The New York Times tried to persuade Americans he was in 2000? President Bush has pushed the identical foreign trade program, the FTAA, that President Bill Clinton introduced under his administration and the spending record of George W. Bush’s administration has far exceeded that of President Clinton’s years in power.
Despite heavy opposition to the CAFTA agreement from many American industry leaders and organizations and labor unions alike, President Bush and his squad of Internationalists twisted arms to get CAFTA passed in June by the U.S. Senate and in July by the U.S. House of Representatives.
Throughout the George W. Bush administration in its first five years, we see that the CFR plays a significant leadership role as was projected by Dr. Steve Bonta in July 2000. The tightly knit Establishment oligarchy that actually runs the Executive Branch of our government today includes many CFR operatives, but the key CFR-man is Vice President Dick Cheney. Yes, Dick Cheney was once even a director at the CFR! Condoleezza Rice, a CFR member, is of course the Secretary of State who succeeded Colin Powell, also a CFR member on the Bush team.
Remember Brent Scowcroft, the CFR member so prominent in the days of the older Bush administration’s Gulf War? Condoleezza Rice was brought to Washington by Scowcroft as a specialist on Soviet/Russian affairs. Rice served on the National Security Council staff of the elder Bush (CFR) until 1991. Rice has played continuous powerful parts in the present Bush administration.
What other CFR members have been installed in the Bush administration’s power structure? I’m not sure I can take the time here to find or list them all. Besides those named above, Senior Associate Counsel to the President and Legal Adviser to the National Security Council John B. Bellinger III is a CFR man. John D. Negroponte, the U.S. Representative to the United Nations who delivered Bush’s reasons for making war on Iraq to the UN is a CFR members. Shirin R. Tahir-Keheli, the Head of the U.S. Delegation to the United Nations Commission on Human Rights is a CFR man. Many others in the Bush administration’s U.S. State Department are CFR members such as John Robert Bolton, Walter H. Kansteiner III, Lorne W. Craner, Kim Rene Holmes, William J. Burns, Richard Salisbury Williamson. The Deputy Secretary of the Treeasury Kenneth W. Dam is CFR. Assistant Treasury Secretary for Economic Policy Richard Hariss Clarida is CFR. Director of the U.S. Mint Henrietta Holsman Fore is CFR. Under Secretary of Commerce for Export Administration Kenneth I. Juster is CFR as is Commerce Department Under Secretary for Economic Affairs Kathleen B. Cooper and Assistant Secretary of Commerce Faryar Shirzad. Secretary of Labor Elaine L. Chao is a CFR person. CIA Director George J. Tenet is a CFR member. Federal Reserve Board of Governors Chairman Alan Greenspan is a CFR members. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld is formerly a CFR members. And so on and so on. All of these appointments to posts of power certainly vindicate the assessment of Dr. Steve Bonta back in July 2000 that the CFR-establishment elites would play a key role in the Bush administration should he be elected.
President George W. Bush pushed for and got the CFR’s planned centralization of federal police and surveillance power under the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). DHS was the brainchild of CFR members who submitted the idea to the administration months before the 9/11 disasters provided George Bush the excuse to create the mammoth department. Another demonstration of implementing CFR agenda items is the installation of the DHS in America.
According to a June 7th, 2002 story provided in the Washington Post ("Bush Plan’s Underground Architects"), Vice President-to-be Dick Cheney (CFR) had begun the real move to launch the new Homeland Security Department as far back as the 2000 Campaign. White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card tod the Post that Cheney "Did a deep dive" into the available research on the subject. The July 15, 2002 issue of The New American reported about Dick Cheney’s "deep dive" efforts that the Post reported, "Aided by a small staff, Cheney examined security proposals from commissions headed by former Virginia Governor James S. Gilmore III, by former Senators Gary Hart (D-Colo.) And Warren B. Rudman (R-N.H.)..." Note that both Hart and Rudman are themselves members of the Council on Foreign Relations.
But, also Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich (CFR), who also served on the Hart-Rudman Commission that was produced a report favoring the establishment of the Department of Homeland Security, stumped for the scheme of creating the Department of Homeland Security as well. In fact on watched Gingrich, Hart, and Rudman all presenting their scheme for the new Homeland Security Agency to a group a the Council on Foreign Relations on a TV broadcast on C-SPAN that appeared on Tuesday, September 18, 2001. It was actually a rebroadcast of the same program that was broadcast earlier on Saturday, September 15th, just 4 days after the terrorist attacks of 9/11. I watched the broadcast in my hotel room late at night in Logan, Utah and was awed at how quickly the CFR moved to install their planned Department of Homeland Security when an opportunity presented itself.
But, all this CFR domination of the Administration is never pointed out by typical establishment news sources, nor by the CFR-members in government themselves. But, in a moment of candor caught by C-SPAN, Vice President Dick Cheney explained how the CFR internationalists conduct their CFR charade. "It’s good to be back at the Council on Foreign Relations," Cheney told a Washington, D.C. CFR audience on February 15, 2002. "I’ve been a member for a long time, and was actually a director for some period of time. I never mentioned that when I was campaigning for re-election back home in Wyoming..." The last line elicited laughter from the assembled CFR members listening to the Vice President. They, of course, knew of the political necessity to fool the country bumpkins back home when the votes were needed to come to power. Making fools of the voters in Wyoming was a good punch line for Dick Cheney to give at this CFR confab and C-SPAN fortunately caught his moment of truth and broadcast it.
What can you do? First, recognize that their is an interlocking network of power structures during the presidential elections that seek to give you a choice between their candidates in either party. Then, look for the candidate who is not "connected" to the CFR, or the Order of Skull & Bones, or the Trilateral Commission. You could find an American candidate instead of a globalist candidate if you make the attempt.
Second, don't worry so much about who the president is. That seat has been wrapped up for decades by the CFR team, but instead pay extra attention to getting the right person in Congress in your congressional district. There are 435 congressional races and only one presidential race. If a faction or conspiracy within our nation wanted to control one of the three branches of government which would be the easiest to capture? The executive branch is only one race, not 435 races, so which would you chose?
Third, hold your elected officials strictly accountable to the Constitution with your letters, phone calls and visits. That way you have a standard to hold them to and to judge their performance by, the standard set by the Constitutional Convention that created the form of our Republic and gave it the limited authorities that were delegated to it by the states. This means of course you would have to study the constitution and understand it before you can expect adherence from those you elect. But, hey, the constitution is only 1/4 of an inch thick. Its not so difficult.
The old saying applies," ignorant and free can never be." If you expect to be ignorant of the constitution, ignorant of the power cabals operating in politics, and ignorant of the associations of the candidates to such cabals and yet expect to remain free, that's an unlikely proposition. May God bless America. Specifically may God bless America with an awakening public that can discern when they are in the hands of wolves in sheep's clothing.

I agree, anyone who thinks Reagan made all the decisions is as daft as
those who think Bush makes all of his. I wonder which secret societies
Dick Cheney belongs to.
I was actually woken up about the gulf of tonklin this weekend. Have
you heard of a show called war stories by Oliver north on fox?
Basically it revealed that the 2nd "attack" during the gulf of tonklin
was just ghosts on the radar and the third was obviously to provoke
them. I'm actually surprised fox aired something so truthful. That
episode got me thinking, if we went to Vietnam on a lie could
everything else after then be a lie to?
Bush sr was a member of the CFR anf Trilateral Commision

from the Reagan administration to the Clinton one, it was the CFR
running things. Until Clinton was chosen to be "elected", then it was
all 3 secret societies. What about Ford and Nixon and the presidents
during the Vietnam era? Its obvious LBJ was working for one of those
secret societies, same with Nixon.

Even 7/7 was caused by MI6.

I say it the Elite.

never believed the paranoia of the cold war, or that Stalin, Lennen,
the rulers of China or any of them were the "man of the people" (as
they murdered millions of there own citizens and sent them to
concentration camps) I also believe the dictator of Cuba was put in by
America, so it doesn't surprise me that Karl Marx was a NEW stooge.
